Ensign Andrew Stec by Aden Doyle

Greetings; It does not seem like 4 years since Andy entered the Academy, but his graduation is proof that it is true. Flotilla 15-08 has sponsored his dues because he was a member before he was a Cadet. I am so proud of this fine young man and so happy for his accomplishments that words fail me. Andy played four years of varsity Hockey at the academy and was a co-captain his junior and Senior year. He was an AIM candidate himself and was a AIM cadre his junior year. There is no limit to what he could become, it all depends on him. He has the key to the world, A degree in Mechanical Engineering from the finest school on the face of the earth. He is being assigned to a cutter that sails out of Ketchikan Alaska. This vessel's home berth is directly aft of another Coast Guard Cutter captained by another friend of 15-08. Warrant Officer Ralph Smith (Smitty). As the ex FSO AIM recruiter I want to thank you for your support and I invite you to take pride in the fact that we were able to sponsor such a fine young man, help him attain a golden opportunity, and rejoice in his accomplishments.
